| The USS Rankin
AKA-103 was a 459 foot Tolland Class amphibious cargo ship built in
1944. When World War II ended she was “mothballed” until being returned
to service for the Korean War. Finally decommissioned in 1971, she was
sunk as an artificial reef in 1988 of Stuart, FL. The ship lies on her
port side in 130 fsw. |
