The Eagle was a 269 foot Dutch freighter originally dubbed the Raila Dan. Damaged by fire in 1985, the hulk was sponsored by the Eagle Tire Company for sinking as an artificial reef off Islamorada Key, FL.  Unfortunately when the vessel sank, it landed on its starboard side covering up the “Eagle” name painted on the side.  Located in 120 fsw of water, the wreck was broken into sections by Hurricane George in 1998.
