The Corey N. Cris was a 130 foot barge that was sunk as an artificial reef in 1986 off Boca Raton, FL. The Ronald B. Johnson was a 226 foot freighter that was also planned to be sunk as an artificial reef in the vicinity of the Corey N. Cris. Incredibly as the Ronald B. Johnson was being towed, it foundered and sank with the vessel landing directly across the Corey N. Cris. The two wrecks make a spectacular dive as they sit on a sand bottom in 260 fsw.
