LAMINATE FLOORING

One of the toughest thing to do, when installing a laminate floor, is to transition into a closet.  Any easy way to overcome this problem is to make a template.

Make a template of the closet floor out of cardboard, etc. Leave 1/4" space around the edges. (Mark the "UP" side)   Lock together enough flooring panels to fit the template.  Orient the floor panels so the "grain" is the same as the floor and invert.

Lay the template on the inverted flooring "UP" side down and oriented with the grain.  Trace around the template. 

Cut out the flooring section along the lines traced from the template.

Now you just add the entire section to the bottom of your closet install a piece of threshold trim.
